Preamble

The anticipated contract is for 4 months with a start date of June 1, 2010.

Experience

1. Three (3) years experience in using the following Mainframe tools and programming languages:

bullet

Time Sharing Options (TSO)

bullet

Job Control Language (JCL)

bullet

Common Business-Oriented Language (COBOL)

bullet

Sequential Query Language (SQL)

bullet

Data Base 2 (DB2)

2. Three (3) years experience in the following:

bullet

Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, and Visio)

bullet

Project Scheduling Using Microsoft Project

bullet

Technical Writing

bullet

Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Scope of Work Summary

The Contractor responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

bullet

Facilitate and coordinate communication between project members across Departments.

bullet

Initiate, participate, and assist in planning activities and meetings.

bullet

Develop a comprehensive work plan preferably in Microsoft Project.

bullet

Document risks, define mitigation strategies, implement approved mitigation strategies and monitor the ongoing risks.

bullet

Maintain and track all project issues, resolutions, change requests, and project risks.

bullet

Work with project members (departments and programs) to identify data issues and problems; and, document proposals for technical solutions.

bullet

Identify and document problems and propose best technical solutions.

bullet

Provide concise, weekly oral and written project status reports that summarize the work performed by the Contractor for the previous week and planned activities for subsequent weeks.

bullet

Escalate issues that can not be resolved at the working level to management.

bullet

Adhere to the Client standards in documentation, application development, and testing.

bullet

Develop and document Business Requirements Specifications (BRS).

bullet

Provide a customer walkthrough of completed BRS and obtain valid approvals by the Client/ITSD Project Manager, and the Client Eligibility Division.

bullet

Develop the Systems Requirements Specifications (SRS).

bullet

Develop the Systems Design Specifications (SDS).

bullet

Provide structured walkthroughs on design and programming specifications (such as SRS and SDS) and obtain valid approvals by the Client/ITSD Project Manager.

bullet

Perform design activities by analyzing the specifications and document the detailed program/system changes necessary for design and development.

bullet

Develop system coding based on the business requirements and system design.

bullet

Lead structured walkthrough with customers to obtain concurrence on test scenarios, conditions and overall planning.

bullet

Prepare test conditions, test plan documents, and obtain approvals from customer.

bullet

Perform unit testing, assist users in acceptance testing, integration testing, regression testing and document all results.

bullet

Perform post implementation activities to ensure the process delivered addresses the specific business scope, requirements and needs intended and documented in the specifications.

bullet

Perform knowledge transfer to Client staff.
