Preamble
A developer/analyst is needed to provide
assistance to the Client’s SAP staff in providing expert level services to
extend the functionality and usability of the Client’s Business Warehouse (BW)
systems. Specifically, the Client must upgrade various BW 3.5 applications to
Business Information (BI) 7.0 and accommodate the new project requirements.
The anticipated term of this
contract is from October 14, 2008 through October 13, 2009. The anticipated
hours of this contract will be 1584.
Experience
The proposed consultant must have the following experience:
 |
Minimum of two years experience designing, creating, and maintaining custom
and standard InfoObjects, InfoCubes, ODS Objects, DataSources, InfoSources,
Update Rules, Transfer Rules and Communication Structures. |
|
Minimum of 3 years of SAP ABAP development experience of which one year must
include development in version ECC 6.0. |
|
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the utilization of SAP User Exits, BAPIS,
and BADIS. |
|
Minimum of 3 years of experience in the installation and system use of SAP
BW/BI. |
|
Minimum of 2 years of Oracle database experience. |
|
Minimum of 2 years of experience as technical project manager or lead. |
|
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the use of ETL software tools. |
Scope of Work Summary
The services under this contract include, but are not limited
to the following tasks and activities:
|
Provide expert level design assistance and guidance as a Developer/Analyst to
allow the Client to manage and make the most effective use of its enterprise
data and IT infrastructure, including the SAP BW and BI platforms; |

Provide expert level advice and assistance to the Client in compiling an
integrated and uniform Metadata catalog of the diverse systems and databases
currently used within the Client organization which would include
identification and assignment of data custodianship responsibilities; |
|
Provide expert level advice and assistance to the Client in developing and
documenting enterprise data management standards and guidelines necessary to
ensure compliance with the State’s requirements; |
|
Provide expert level advice and assistance to the Client in establishing and
documenting Data Security standards and guidelines for managing and
controlling access to data contained in the enterprise data repository to
ensure compliance with the State’s requirements; |
|
Provide expert level advice and assistance in developing and documenting data
retention/archiving standards and guidelines required for compliance with the
Sarbanes-Oxley Act and State mandates; |
|
Provide expert level advice and assistance to the Client in making use of data
modeling and data mapping techniques required to most efficiently store and
process enterprise data; |
|
Perform thorough knowledge transfers with Client staff for all deliverables
modified or created during the term of the contract. |
Contractor Deliverables
The deliverables shall include, but are not limited to all
the items listed below.

Develop work flow diagrams. |
|
Develop business process model diagrams. |
|
Develop software design specifications documents. |
|
Develop technical documentation supporting design recommendations. |
|
Develop comprehensive data management practices. |
|
Conduct meetings, prepare presentation material, and lead presentations. |
|
Provide knowledge transfer and mentoring services |
