Preamble
A 10g certified Oracle Database Administrator
(DBA) with experience in the use of Data Guard software and Oracle ETL software
tools is needed to provide expert knowledge transfer and assist staff to upgrade
and implement new databases to support new business functionality. Specifically,
the Client must implement and upgrade various business applications associated
with cost settlements, operational analysis and reporting, and scheduling
functions.
The anticipated term of the resulting
contract will be October 14, 2008 through October 13, 2009 or 1-year from date
of contract execution.
The anticipated hours of this contract will
be 1584.
Experience
The proposed consultant must have the
following:

The
proposed consultant must be Oracle certified; |

A
minimum of 5 years of Oracle DBA work experience; |
|
2
years of experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Oracle 10g
environment; |
|
3
years of experience in performance tuning of Oracle databases,; |
|
3
years of experience in setting up database backup/recovery process and
systems; |
|
3
years of experience with Oracle’s ETL software tools; |
|
3
years of experience in PL/SQL; |
|
1
year of experience in Data Guard software; |
|
2
years of experience with RAC technologies and Grid Control. |
Desired Qualifications

Technical documentation writing; |
|
Good written and verbal communication skills. |
Scope of Work Summary
The services under this contract include, but
are not limited to the following tasks and activities:
Planning
|
Develop capacity planning for database performance and data storage |
|
Develop table partitioning strategy |
|
Upgrade and patch schedules |
|
Develop Disaster Recovery strategy using Data Guard for multiple standby
servers leveraging options for switch over and use of standby for reporting
|
|
Develop backup and recovery procedures |
|
Develop data archive and purge strategy |
|
Develop Oracle network and security strategy |
|
Develop Change Control Procedures |
Installation
|
Install and configure Oracle 10g with Data Guard and Administrator Tools (Grid
Control/DB Control, RMan, Flashback, DataPump, Configuration Manager and
Change Manager) |
Security
|
Implement and maintain role based security user access |
