Preamble
The anticipated term of this contract is from
July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2011.
Experience
The contractor must possess the following
skills and experience:

Solid technical and functional understanding
of the Cal-Voter system |

Demonstrated expertise with Powerbuilder,
PL-SQL and JAVA |
Scope of Work Summary
The
scope of this effort is to provide CalVoter maintenance, enhancements and Vote
technology support from July 2009 through June 2011 for the relevant statewide
elections.
The
contractor will perform the following services to support CalVoter:
|
Maintain the Candidate filing, Elections
Reporting, and System Administration applications with the CalVoter II system. |
|
Maintain the System Scheduler and Monitor
applications within the CalVoter I system. |
|
Provide training, transition and assistance
to the Elections Division staff and Information Technology Division (ITD)
staff in the set-up and administration of the CalVoter I & II system for the
relevant statewide elections within the period of the engagement. In addition,
any relevant special elections would also be supported (i.e. enhance the
CalVoter II application and reports to accommodate multiple district offices
(congressional districts). |

Participate in Vote technology meetings and
stress testing tasks for the relevant statewide elections. Duties to include
but not limited to: |
|
Support both ITD and Elections staff with
election set up |
|
Stress testing |
|
Bug fixes |
|
Reports and on-site support on election
night to ensure stability |
|
Assist with technical issues |
|
Provide assistance to the Elections Division
staff in generation of the following reports for the relevant statewide
election cycle: |

Notice to Candidates |
|
Certified List of Candidates |
|
Rotation Report |
|
Statement of Vote (SOV) |
|
Supplement to the Statement of Vote (SSOV) |
|
Maintain and modify the Java J2EE front-end
applications |
