Preamble
The Senior Microsoft Access Consultant, reporting to the Client Manager, will be
responsible for assisting the Applications and Development Services unit with
all technical, implementation, maintenance and knowledge transfer aspects of
existing and new Microsoft Access applications that include but not limited to
Registry, Utilization Management, Scheduling and Tracking Systems.
It is estimated that the ensuing assignment will begin
approximately December 2008 and will be for the duration of approximately one
(1) year.
Experience
Mandatory Qualifications
 |
Five years or more experience in Microsoft Access programming |
 |
Relational database design |
 |
Experience in complex queries, reports, table creation, forms, sub forms, form
control events, modules/functions, reports, sub reports, report events, and
macros, menu systems, forms, data entry, reports, data extract and data
import, and interfacing to other systems |
 |
Experience in Visual Basic and VB Script |
 |
Experience implementing user profiles and field level security in Microsoft
Access |
 |
Established ability to gather functional and non-functional business
requirements to be implemented in Microsoft Access or SQL solution |
 |
Experience in MS Access 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007 |
 |
Experience in migrating Microsoft Access applications to MS SQL server |
 |
Two years or more experience in SQL Server |
 |
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Programming |
 |
Solid written and verbal communication skills |
Desirable Qualifications
 |
Experience dealing with Client processes and control agencies |
Scope of Work Summary
 |
The consultant shall be responsible for completing deliverables in the agreed
upon timeframe. |

The consultant must actively participate in coordination meetings, meeting
with Subject Matter Experts (SME), fact-finding meetings, working sessions,
status reporting (both verbal and written), presentations, and general
communication on an ongoing |
 |
The consultant will work with the Chief Information Officer and the Deputy
Chief Information Officer to ensure any issues concerning the work are
reported. |
