Position Title Training Coordinator

Preamble

Travel from the Client headquarter facility in Sacramento, CA, to the County Offices and Districts throughout California is a requirement of these positions. Except when traveling, all work must be performed on-site at the Client headquarter facility. An appropriate travel allotment will be included in each contract.

The anticipated start date is October 14, 2008.

The total services period may be up to, but not exceed, thirty-six (36) months, with an estimated 150 work hours per month. The initial contract will have an end term of June 30, 2010.

Experience

It is desirable for the Contractor to have the following listed experience, knowledge, skills and abilities:

Experience in developing, establishing and evaluating training programs

bullet

Experience in developing and delivering interactive training

bullet

Experience in developing and providing users with system functionality training

bullet

Ability to quickly gain mastery of the training subject matter

bullet

Experience in developing training plans

bullet

Curriculum design skills and experience

bullet

Use of adult learning principles

bullet

Knowledge of instructional design and technology

bullet

Background in training for trainers

bullet

Knowledge and use of computer-based training (CBT) and applications for competency testing

bullet

Experience working in a collaborative team environment

bullet

Pension system/financial institution background

bullet

Excellent interpersonal communications skills

Proposed candidate will be evaluated, by the Client, for expertise, education, and experience in the following listed categories:

bullet

One page summary description of approach, tools and methodology to establish an effective training program

bullet

Experience in creating and delivering interactive training programs including creating associated documentation

bullet

Experience in developing and delivering system functionality training for system users

bullet

Experience in developing and delivering training-for-trainers

bullet

Experience in or knowledge of methods to provide training to participants located remotely at sites throughout the state
