Preamble

Our Client is seeking a contract Analyst Programmer to perform analysis, design, coding and testing on their existing applications.

The contracting services will be performed on-site at the Client offices in Sacramento, California, between the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday except for Client recognized official non-working days.  Our Client does not anticipate the need to perform any services outside of these hours.  However, if the need arises, scheduling of a date and time shall be mutually agreed upon by our Client and the Contractor.

The estimated contract start date is January 1, 2010 for the term of twelve (12) months requiring approximately twenty (20) hours per week for a total of one thousand fifty (1050) project hours.

Experience

The Analyst Programmer must have knowledge of the Client applications with a minimum of:

Four (4) years experience in:
bullet

Natural 4.1 structured programming ADABAS

bullet

Time Sharing Option (TSO)

bullet

Job Control Language (JCL)

bullet

A four (4) year Degree or equivalent.

Four (4) years of experience in providing technical programming and analysis in support of the design, development and enhancement of complex computer and related systems using specified programming languages.  Demonstrates highly-developed programming and analysis skills, ability to solve complex systems and programming problems and a well-developed knowledge of principles of systems analysis and design.

Four (4) years of functional responsibility for performing a range of functions in areas such as complex application systems design, applications programming, database design, conversion, implementation, performance measurement and evaluation, and conferring with management and users to define requirements and development of alternative methods.

Scope of Work Summary

The Client applications utilize mainframe architecture.  The mainframe data resides in an ADABAS database and is accessed via Natural programs.  Due to size problems within the application data files, the assistance of a qualified programmer is required to create new data files.  Under the direction of the Client Project Manager, the programmer shall in the Client development environment, split specific data from existing data files, and create new data files that will accommodate growth where the data will be placed.  When the new data files have been successfully completed, the Client Project Manager shall migrate to production.
