Preamble
The anticipated contract
term is from January 7, 2009 through December 31, 2009.
All work will be done at
the Client site.
This Statement of Work is for the acquisition of
consulting services for an information technology professional to provide HP
Tru64 Unix and Linux system support. The contractor will perform tasks related
to installation, configuration and maintenance of the Client’s Tru64 Unix
Database servers and Linux cluster database and webservers.
Experience
The contractor should have experience in the
following:

HP Tru64 Unix and Linux servers |
 |
Setting up, configuring, and maintaining Apache and Tomcat web-servers |
 |
Backup and recovery systems |
 |
Perl, Bourne, and Korn shell scripting languages |
 |
Java and PHP programming |
 |
MySQL databases |
 |
Web-based applications |
 |
SSL certificates |
Scope of Work Summary
The contractor will train and/or assist SOS
technical staff in:
 |
Installing, securing, configuring, upgrading, maintaining, capacity planning
and monitoring performance for all Linux servers and Tru64 Unix stand alone
and/or clustered servers. |
 |
Maintaining and supporting the Legato Networker backup and recovery subsystem. |
 |
Maintaining and supporting the scripts and/or programs written in Perl,
Bourne, and Korn shell scripting languages that automate the system
administration functions. |
 |
Maintaining and supporting web applications written in Java and PHP. |
 |
Maintaining and supporting the Tru64 Unix SAN and its related hardware. |
 |
Installing, patching and maintaining application software that runs on the
Tru64 Unix and Linux servers. |
 |
Monitoring and maintaining security levels on the Tru64 Unix and Linux
servers. |
 |
Maintaining system documentation for Tru64 Unix and Linux server
configurations. |
 |
Performing end user system administration functions. |
 |
Developing and implement proactive monitoring of existing systems and |
 |
Developing, maintaining and supporting web-based applications residing on
Tru64 Unix and Linux servers. |
