Preamble
The total services period may be up to thirty-six (36) months. However, any
initial contract will be for 900 hours with an end term of June 30, 2010.
How the 900 hours will be used/distributed during the initial contract term will
be negotiated with the vendor.
If the Client determines that services are needed beyond June 30, 2010, the
Client and the vendor may reach a mutual agreement to contract for part or all
of the remaining services period.
All work must be performed on-site at the Client headquarter facility in
Sacramento, CA.

Scope of Work Summary
The majority of the Client's projects are Information Technology related which
requires the utilization of the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology.
The Communications Specialist may be assigned to multiple teams/projects during
the services period.
Primary Responsibilities
 |
Evaluate project communication and change management needs |
 |
Develop project communication and change management strategy |
 |
Recommend, develop, coordinate and facilitate project communication events
|
 |
Work with project manager to develop and execute Project Communication Plan
|
 |
Coordinate with Client Communication team to develop themes, style guides, and
templates for project communication, utilizing approved branding standards,
guidelines and tools. |
 |
Coordinate project implementation with the Client Communications Unit |
 |
Collaborate with the Client leadership team to understand communication needs
and styles |
 |
Recommend and develop communications to help project stakeholders manage and
adjust to the various changes occurring as a result of a project |
 |
Coordinate with the Client Communications Unit and Enterprise Initiatives and
Technology Branch teams to manage various Web communications on behalf of the
projects |
 |
Perform various project coordination and communication activities as needed
|
 |
Utilize best practices for internal communications |
Management reporting:
 |
Produce and submit weekly status reports to a designated manager |
 |
Immediately communicate risks and/or issues to a designated manager |
